The Galion varsity boys track team placed fifth and the girls team took seventh in the Kiwanis Invitational hosted by Galion High School on Friday. Lexington won the boys title, while Ottawa-Glandorf placed first on the girls side.

Galion Middle School and Galion Intermediate School have been honored with the Purple Star Award from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. This award recognizes the schools’ outstanding commitment to supporting military-connected students and families.

The Galion City School District Board of Education met for its February meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Galion Middle School computer lab. The meeting, which was open to the public, featured key highlights that underscore the district’s commitment to encouraging students to believe, achieve and succeed.
