GALION — Three area baseball players had terrific seasons that landed them on the All-Ohio lists.

Colonel Crawford senior Brennan Hamilton and Northmor’s junior Drew Hammond both made the first team in Division IV, while Northmor junior Grant Bentley was named to the second team.

Hamilton made it as a second baseman with a great season at the plate but he also stood out on the mound too. At the dish, Hamilton slashed .433 with 39 hits, 19 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases. Hamilton scored 34 runs for the Eagles who made it to a regional semifinal game where they fell against Mohawk.

On the mound, Hamilton held a record of 7-3 with a 2.11 earned run average and 84 strikeouts.

Hammond made first team at third base with a .398 average and 37 hits. The junior batted in 25 runs while scoring 22. Hammond put out a .454 on-base percentage.

Bentley was second team as a utility player with a .414 average, 32 runs scored, 32 hits, and 17 RBIs. On the mound, Bentley was 8-2 with a 0.99 earned run average. The junior had four shutouts for the Golden Knights who reached the district finals.
