Chamber, United Way moving Uptowne

The Galion-Crestline Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Crawford County are on the move again.

Joe Kleinknecht, who serves as president/CEO of the Galion-Crestline Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that both agencies will move back to Uptowne Galion on Oct. 12 after the Chamber signed a five-year lease at the building.

The Chamber had a month-to-month lease at its present location at 419 Harding Way W.

The new office for both groups will be at 138 Harding Way W., the former site of A-1 Printing.

Kleinknecht said the new office size of 2,500 square feet and everything being one floor was appealing.

“This offers two conference rooms and another full office in addition to the Chamber and the United Way,” he said, adding that the Chamber is interested in subleasing the extra space. “Our preference would be a non-profit which works with economic or community development.”
