Teal season can provide September highlight

September is almost here and with it comes the early hunting seasons. One that I really anticipate is the early teal season. Along with the early goose season, it is a prelude of hopefully many successful duck hunts to come in the next few months.

In a press conference at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Wednesday, Smith thanked his many colleagues through the years before pointing to the timing being appropriate for a new voice to lead the department.

GALION — Going forward, there will be no need to make plans for Saturday postseason football at the high school level in Ohio. The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) announced that all games in weeks 11-15 will be played on Friday nights.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Matthew Ralph, of Buckeye Valley, and Mary Murphy, of Pleasant, excelled to win the Chad A. Wheeler “Best of the Best” titles at the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association final tournament for winners and runners-up of the season’s series at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club on Tuesday, July 25.
