GALION — The city sent out a survey to area residents having to do with our park system, along with a recent utility bill.
Residents were asked about the types of activities or programs they would make use of, or that would draw more people to Galion’s parks. The survey was one of the first steps in putting together a master plan for the city’s park system.
But city officials would like more input from residents.
To that end, they have planned three public forums in the next two weeks to solicit more ideas and thoughts.
All of the forums will be at the city building, in council chamber, on the second floor.
The first one is Monday, and Cobey and East parks will be discussed. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. City officials have allotted an hour for discussion of each park.
The second form is Thursday, Dec. 8 and will include discussion of Amann/Amick Reservoirs and South Park. It also starts at 6:30 p.m.
The third forum is Wednesday, Dec. 14, also at 6:30, and will include discussion about Heise and Peco parks.
These meetings are open to the public and Galion residents are encouraged t0 attend and to provide feedback.
