GALION — After posting a second consecutive 10-win season, six members of the Galion High School boys soccer program have received postseason recognition for their accomplishments in 2021.

Seniors Walker Frankhouse and Sam Albert, junior Jack Hart, and freshman Max Albert were each honored in the voting for the All-North Central District teams. Frankhouse was a first-team selection and Sam Albert was voted second-team All-District.

Hart and Max Albert both received honorable mention in the All-North Central District voting.

Ontario senior Gage Weaver was honored as North Central District player of the year. Lexington’s Peter Them was voted coach of the year. Rob Heidl from Huron was voted assistant coach of the year in the North Central District.

Frankhouse and Sam Albert were voted first-team All-Mid Ohio Athletic Conference. Senior Kennan Walker was voted to the MOAC second team and senior Tanner Keinath received honorable mention in the MOAC voting for 2021.

Frankhouse was the second-leading scorer in the MOAC with 20 goals and 8 assists for a total of 48 points. Sam Albert tallied 12 goals and 12 assists, totaling 36 points.

The Tigers finished the 2021 season with a 10-5-1 overall record and were 5-1 in the MOAC, finishing runnerup to conference champion Ontario. The 10 wins matched the program record for victories set in 2020.
