Col. Crawford holds Halloween party

Nearly 115 Colonel Crawford area children, accompanied by many family members, were treated to a Halloween Party at the High School on Oct. 29. Hosts for the evening were the Colonel Crawford Lions and the C.C. Leos. Special help with the night’s activities was given by members of the Jefferson Township Fire Department and their Explorers.

The costumed children were divided into eight groups ranging from infants through Grade 5. Winners were selected from each group in the following categories: funniest, scariest, cutest, most original, and best costume. The winners of each category received a plaque. All participants received a decorated ribbon.

After the judging, the children were led through Spook Alley where they received candy and ‘scares’.

Kindergarten – funniest, Grayden Bohach; scariest, Lily Appleby; cutest, Sydney Link; most original, Ella McGrady; best costume, Layla Beers. Grade 1 – funniest, Wyatt Spiegel; scariest, Mitchell Perkins; cutest, Lilly Malone; most original, Maelyn Webb; best costume, Trace A. Skaggs. Grade 2 – funniest, Kaitlyn Taylor; scariest, Lilia Suarez; cutest, Kaitlyn Richardson; most original, Brynn Bruner; best costume, Bailey Rossman. Grade 3 – funniest, Lizzy Earlstin; scariest, Rylie Dicus; cutest, Gabby Roston; most original, Kaden Bruner; best costume, Raven Wilson. Grade 4 – funniest, Celia Chase; scariest, Logan Cochran; cutest, Izzy Roston; most original, Hunter Bloomfield; best costume, Dylan Britt. Grade 5 – funniest, Isaiah Studer; scariest, Ana Earlstin; cutest, Olivia Chase; most original, Abby Martin; best costume, Keith Ehmann.
