GALION — During a recent marijuana eradication effort in Crawford County, law enforcement officials found more than they were searching for.
On Thursday, Crawford County sheriff’s deputies, with assistance from the Crawford County Special Deputies Unit, Metrich and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), seized 47 marijuana plants, including some at \ 420 Jackson Road, in Galion
As deputies began seizing the marijuana plants at the Jackson Road residence, they also discovered methamphetamine (meth) being manufactured outside the residence. BCI agents neutralized the chemicals making the scene safe.
Natasha R. Dent, 22, was arrested on drug-possession charges, and Matthew J. Alley, 31, was arrested on charges of tampering with evidence.
This case remains under investigation and will be presented to the Crawford County Grand Jury for consideration of additional charges.
