Eagles land on All-Northern 10 teams

All-league teams were recently announced for the Northern 10 Conference, and Colonel Crawford was well represented. Overall, five players from the baseball team and five players from the softball team made it.

Brennan Hamilton and Micah Thomas were both first-team recipents. On the mound, Hamilton boasted a 6-3 record with a 2.13 earned run average. The senior hit .433 at the plate with 19 runs batted in and 39 hits. Thomas batted .354 with 28 run batted in and seven doubles.

Deagan Moore and Nick Eachus both represented the Eagles on the second team. Moore slashed .321 as a freshman with 27 runs and 26 hits. Eachus batted .318 with 21 hits and was plunked by a pitch a whopping 16 times. On the mound, Eachus held a 2.24 earned run average and struck out 53 batters.

Jacob Lucius made the honorable mention list with a .294 batting average, 24 runs batted in, and two home-runs.

Over on the softball side of things, Allison Weithman and Hannah Allen were named to first team. Weithman batted at a .471 clip with a team-high 41 hits and 25 stolen bases. Allen hit the ball at a .457 rate with 37 hits and a team-high 37 runs batted in.

Nettie Gallant and Aubrey Zizzo both represented the Lady Eagles on the second team. Gallant batted .286 with 22 hits and 17 runs batted in. Zizzo was 10-9 in the pitcher’s circle with a 3.59 earned run average, while striking out 96 batters.

Harley Thomas was listed honorable mention with her .351 batting average and 13 hits in just 37 at-bats.
