Police arrested a male subject on suspicion of possession of drugs after responding to a report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of Pine Street. Police also issued summonses to the male subject for obstructing justice and possessing drug abuse instruments to the male subject. The male subject’s vehicle was towed from the scene following his arrest.

Police issued a citation for non-compliance suspension to a motorist following a traffic stop in the vicinity of Dawsett Avenue and Riblet Street.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft from a business in the 100 block of Harding Way West. An employee told police that a female subject allegedly stole a ring. Police took information for a report.

Police issued a citation for failure to control to a motorist after responding to a report of a two-vehicle crash in the 100 block of West Church Street. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Police investigated a report of an alleged breaking and entering in progress at a residence in the 400 block of Harding Way East. The resident told police that an unknown subject was attempting to break into their house through a back door. The unknown subject fled the area on foot prior to police arriving on the scene. Police were unable to locate the subject. Police took information for a report.

Oct. 26

Police issued a citation for driving under suspension to a motorist following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Harding Way East. Police located a blow torch, a knife, and marijuana in the male subject’s vehicle.

Police investigated a report of an unknown subject entering a resident’s garage without permission in the 500 block of South Boston Street. The homeowner provided video surveillance footage of the incident to police. Police took information for a report.

Police assisted Crawford County officials with a welfare check at a residence in the 100 block of Clymer Avenue. Officials said they were conducting the check to verify reports of abuse. Police provided standby support at the scene.

Police investigated a report of an unruly juvenile at a residence on Sixth Avenue. When police arrived on the scene, a parent told police that the situation was okay.

Police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of Richardson Avenue. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft from a motor vehicle that was reported in the 1000 block of Harding Way East. The vehicle owner told police that an unknown subject stole the catalytic converter. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft from a motor vehicle that was reported in the 200 block of North Liberty Street. The vehicle owner told police that an unknown subject stole the catalytic converter. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a two-vehicle crash that was reported in the 700 block of Harding Way West. Police issued a citation to one of the motorists involved in the crash. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of threats being made against a resident on Orange Street. Resident told police that an individual from Richland County was threatening them. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a missing/runaway juvenile who disappeared from a residence in the 1100 block of Dawsett Avenue. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported in the 100 block of South Market Street. Resident told police that unknown subjects stole a pumpkin off their front porch.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported in the 800 block of Smith Street. Resident told police that unknown subjects stole a drill, a battery charger, and three cases of tools. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of an alleged stolen vehicle in the vicinity of North Liberty Street and Sherman Street. The vehicle was blocking the intersection. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Police are reviewing video surveillance footage to see who left the vehicle at that location. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of two juveniles who were allegedly breaking into vehicles in the vicinity of North Riblet Street and Church Street. The caller told the dispatcher that the juveniles were wearing ski masks and riding bicycles. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the juveniles. Police took information for a report.

Oct. 27

Police investigated a report about two vehicles that were allegedly broken into in a parking lot in the 500 block of North East Street. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a single-vehicle crash in which a vehicle hit a deer in the 700 block of Carter Drive. No injuries were reported. The motorist was able drive the vehicle away from the scene. The deer carcass was removed from the scene.

Police responded to a situation involving a female subject who was allegedly suffering from a mental breakdown in the 1000 block of Harding Way East.

Police issued citations for operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension to a motorist following a traffic stop on North Market Street. The female subject driving the vehicle was transported to Galion Community Hospital. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police investigated a case of alleged fraud that was reported by a resident in the 200 block of Sherman Street. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a juvenile male who was allegedly attempting to harm himself. The juvenile was transported to Galion Community Hospital for treatment.

Police investigated a report of a domestic dispute involving a female subject and a male subject in the 800 block of South Street. The male subject had left the scene prior to police arriving. He was later located and arrested. He was charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest. The female subject told police she was leaving the premises for the night. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported in the 100 block of East Church Street. A resident told police that unknown subjects stole a pin from their trailer hitch and stole a sign off of an air compressor. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 800 block of Harding Way East. A female subject who reported the incident told police that she told the male subject to stay off of her property. The male subject left the scene before police arrived.
