Sept. 21

Police investigated a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Sixth Avenue. Caller reported that several individuals were outside allegedly fighting. When police arrived, one of the parties involved left the residence. Officers issued a verbal warning to those involved.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft reported by a business in the 800 block of Harding Way East. Officials with the business told officers it was a case of internal theft and they would handle it as a civil matter.

Police responded to a report of a dispute between a landlord and a tenant in the 400 block of South Riblet Street.

Police were asked by a parole officer to make contact with a parolee at a residence in the 700 block of Clay Street. Male subject was not located at that residence. Police were advised the male subject moved out of that residence. Officers relayed the information to the parole officer. Male subject was later located at a restaurant in Galion and taken into custody.

Police assisted the Crestline Police Department in locating a missing female juvenile subject. Individual was found and returned home.

Police investigated a report of suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia that was found in the 600 block of Harding Way West. Officers determined the substance found at the scene was a cigar butt.

Police investigated a case of alleged fraud. Resident told officers a known subject allegedly stole his tax refund and economic stimulus funds. Individual was obtaining verification from the IRS regarding where the funds were sent.

Police arrested a male subject on suspicion of disorderly conduct in the 400 block of Portland Way North. Caller told dispatcher that they observed a male subject who was allegedly intoxicated and fell down in the parking lot at that location. Officers transported him to the Crawford County Justice Center.

Police issued a warning for disorderly conduct to a male subject after responding to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of Wilson Avenue. Caller told dispatcher that the male subject was yelling and behaving strangely. Officers made contact with the male subject and he returned to his residence.

Sept. 22

Police investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 600 block of Harding Way East. Caller reported that a male subject was allegedly unconscious in a vehicle at that location.

Police investigated two cases of accidental calls to the 911 dispatch center. In both cases, there was no emergency situation.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported by a resident in the 400 block of South Union Street. Individual told officers that over the past month, unknown subjects have allegedly stolen $1,436.43 from their bank account. Officers took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a stolen bicycle in the 500 block of South Boston Street. Individual told officers the bicycle was taken sometime during the night. Officers took information for a report.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for not having a functioning headlight on his vehicle following a traffic stop in the vicinity of South Market Street and West Church Street.

Sept. 23

Police investigated a case of alleged theft from a motor vehicle in the 6600 block of Brandt Road. Caller reported that items were taken from two vehicles at that location. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported in the 300 block of South Boston Street. Caller reported that a wallet was taken from their vehicle. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of an individual who was allegedly suffering from a mental breakdown. Officers requested that EMS be dispatched to the scene to offer treatment.
