GALION — Galion High School will issue diplomas to those veterans who left high school early to serve in World War II, Vietnam and Korea during a special ceremony Friday, Nov. 9.

Those veterans in the Crawford County and surrounding area who did not complete their high school education qualify to receive a diploma under Ohio Revised Code 3313.616.

“This is a special opportunity to issue diplomas to those veterans who chose to leave school and serve our country,” High School Principal Ron Williams said. “Any veteran who left high school to serve in World War II, Vietnam or Korea is eligible to receive a diploma.”

Veterans wishing to take part in the ceremony, or who have additional questions, should call the Galion High School office at 419-468-6500 to complete a form via telephone.
