CRESTLINE — The Crestline Lady Bulldogs celebrated their senior night on Tuesday with a contest against fellow Mid-Buckeye Conference squad, the Kidron Central Christian Comets.

It took just five innings for the Bulldogs to earn the 15-0 victory. The scoring started quickly for Crestline as they put a five-spot up in the home half of the first. A two-run second and a three-run third were followed by another five-run inning in the bottom of the fourth to secure the lopsided victory.

Sarah Toy picked up the victory for Crestline, putting in three innings of work while only throwing 58 pitches. Toy had two walks, five strikeouts and allowed just one hit. Toy helped her cause with a double at the plate and recorded an RBI. Kaitlyn Stall pitched the remaining two innings, throwing 21 pitches and notching a strikeout. Stull had a single at the dish.

Desiree Naveja led the ‘Dogs offense with three singles on the day to accompany a stolen base and three runs batted in. Michaela Jeffrey, Lydia Tadda and Madison Huber also had multi-hit days at the plate. Jeffrey belted two singles and had two steals on the base path. Tadda and Huber also had a pair of singles, a stolen base and two runs batted in apiece.

Dennesa Baker recorded a double and 2-RBI for the contest, Bri Briggs had a single and a stolen base and Sydney Weisman rounded out the offensive onslaught with a single, a stolen base and an RBI.

Crestline will host their sectional final game on Thursday May 11 at 5 pm. The No. 3 seeded Bulldogs will welcome the No. 5 seeded Seneca East Lady Tigers to town with hopes of moving on to the Division IV district semi-final matchup in the Shelby district.
