Lots of thanks for the car show

A lot depends on a successful event, volunteers, weather, and participants. I am overjoyed at the response of our 5th annual car and cycle show. We had 113 cars, trucks and motorcycles, which more than doubled what we had last year.

Thank you to my husband, Terry, who put up with my insanity and melt downs. He helped with organizing and working where needed.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Sandy Sparks, without whom there wouldn’t have been an event. She put in many hours gathering door prizes, donations, and items for the goody bags that are passed out to the entrants.

Thanks to my daughter, Olivia, for always helping when I need her. She helped block off the spots the night before for vehicles and helped get them parked on Sunday, along with loading and unloading everything it takes to run the car and cycle show.

A big thank you to the following:

To Jeff and Cheryl Mason and Ernie and Marion Vaughn who tirelessly pass out flyers to help promote our fundraiser.

To Dean from Dean’s Trophy House in Bucyrus for once again making outstanding show plaques.

To Gary and Linda Epley from Guardian Graphics for the fantastic dash plaques this year.

To Terry Gribble from the Community Center for allowing us to use the electric connection at the pool so that we could have the live music and D.J. entertainment. Also for his patience and understanding for interfering with the pool being opened during our fundraiser.

To Dick Starcher and friends for once again making the trip this year to provide our live music.

To Mark Koon for being our D.J. from the very first show to our 5th annual event.

A very special thank you to Chuck Stiger and Gerry Leeth from Upper Sandusky who helped us get ready for our event even though they only came to enter their vehicles.

To our judges, Jean Meck and Ray Hull, for trying to decide the winners. Also, to Jean for making sure all of our signs to the park were up and taken down when we were finished.

To Sarah Capretta for putting our car show flyer on Facebook and handling the many changes that occurred during the planning and follow through for the Pickle Run.

To everyone who helped with whatever was needed and helping to tear down and get everything back to the center.

We had many businesses, organizations and individuals who contributed money, door prizes and items for our pass out bags. There are too many to mention here, but some have helped us since the beginning and some are brand new this year. We really appreciate your support and without all of you, we could not have the success that we had this year.

To the people who entered our car show and gave us suggestions, we really appreciate the input.

Many thanks to all who participated in this year’s event. We were overwhelmed with gratitude.

I apologize if I have missed anyone, because if I don’t write it down, I don’t remember what I did, and then I can’t find where I wrote it down.

The center thanks the community for coming out to enjoy all of the festivities.
