Anna Marie Johnson, 91, of Galion passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion surrounded by her family.

Born January 31, 1931 in Hubbard, Ohio, she was the daughter of Bruno and Elizabeth (Scholz) Verch. She married Carroll R. Johnson on September 1, 1951 and he preceded her after 53 years of marriage on October 15, 2004.

She was a graduate of Hubbard High School and attended the Youngstown State University. She worked as Office Manager and Society Editor for Hubbard News, as a Bookkeeper for Dollar Bank in Hubbard and J.C. Penney Company in Galion.

She is survived by sons, Terry (Janet) Johnson of Powell and Keith (Nancy) Johnson of Lexington; daughter, Gayle (Dennis) Alberta of Delaware; grandchildren, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Kieselbach of Powell, Joanna Johnson of Columbus, Brian (Melanie) Alberta of Delaware, Nicole Alberta of Columbus; great grandsons, Chase, twins, Grant and Andrew, Lane and Graham.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, brother, Werner Verch and twin great grandchildren, Alex and Emma Kieselbach.

Private graveside services will be held for the family.
