Another match, another win for Lady Knights

GALION — On Thursday evening, the Northmor Lady Golden Knights volleyball hosted Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference foe, the Centerburg Lady Trojans.

Northmor, looking to remain undefeated, did just that by defeating the visitors in three sets; 25-20, 25-22 and 25-23. Northmor is now 11-0 in 2017 and sit atop the KMAC at 6-0.

Anna Donner turned in another all-around game for the Knights against Centerburg. On offense, Donner finished 33/35 on the attack while recording 12 kills and on defense racked up two solo blocks, three assisted blocks and seven digs. Leslie Brubaker had 10 kills on 18/18 hitting and helped anchor the defense with three solo blocks.

Other offensive statistics for Northmor were: Kelsie Fike- 13/13 serving, 3 aces and 9 kills; Jordyn Zoll- 18 assists, 4 kills and a serving ace; Caitlin Thebeault- 10/11 serving, 2 aces and 13 assists and Hanna Bentley- 17/17 serving.

Hope Miracle was also busy at the net on defense for the home team, notching a solo block and assisting on an additional five. Aly Blunk had 11 digs, Cristianna Boggs finished with 10 digs and Zoll added six digs to stifle the Centerburg attack.

A pair of home games awaits the Lady Golden Knights in the first part of next week. On Monday, the Bucyrus Lady Redmen will be on Northmor’s home floor to compete in non-conference action. KMAC foe, the Highland Lady Scots will head to Northmor on Tuesday, September 19.
