Bonham to speak Sunday at All Souls

BELLVILLE — All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Bellville, 25 Church St., will welcome Walter Bonham on Sunday. He will deliver the message at the 10:30 a.m. service. He will speak about “The Inherent Worth and Dignity of Every Person.”

Bonham, who is with the Mansfield Microfarm Project, says: “If I would say anything about myself it would be that I believe a thought is the most powerful thing in the world. I also live by the principle that a man who knows something knows that he knows nothing at all.”

Sendoff planned for Richland County’s first Veterans Honor Bus

RICHLAND COUNTY — Richland County’s first Veterans Honor Bus will be departing for Washington DC for a three-day visit that city’s various war memorials. The public is invited to dome out and give these 34 veterans and 13 guardians a big send off on their trip. The bus will leave the from the parking lot of the Area Agency on Aging, 2131 Park Ave. West in Ontario at 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27.

This bus will include two World War II veterans, seven from the Korean War, 22 from the Vietnam war, one veteran with the Cuban Missile Crisis, one from Iraq and one from Desert Storm.

The bus will return about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and organizers are hoping for a big welcome home crowd.

Order fish until Oct. 4 in Richland County

MANSFIELD — Attention pond owners. Order fish from the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District until October 4. Buyers can choose bluegill, largemouth bass, yellow perch, hybrid bluegill, redear bluegill, channel catfish, white amur or fathead minnows. Orders and payment are due by Friday, Oct .4. Richland County veterans group to meet Sept. 24

SHELBY — The next meeting of the Richland County Joint Veterans is Tuesday, Sept 24 at 7 p.m. at American Legion O’Brien Post 326, 89 E. Main St., in Shelby. All veterans are welcome to attend these meetings.
