Lady Eagles represented on All-Northern 10 teams

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford’s softball team saw a successful 2022 campaign where they finished the season 20-5 to go along with a share of the Northern 10 Conference title. The Lady Eagles made it to the district final, where they lost to Margaretta, 3-1.

Multiple athletes from the Lady Eagles were able to pick up all-conference nods. Lauren Frietchen, Jostyn Gallant, Harley Thomas, and Allison Weithman made first team All-Northern 10 conference.

Frietchen was a standout pitcher with a 19-4 record, and carried a 0.95 ERA in 132 innings pitched. Frietchen had a great strikeout to walk ratio of 195-16. Gallant was second on the team in batting with a .429 average, and was tied for first in RBIs on the team with 27.

Thomas led the team with a superb .471 batting average and totaled 41 hits. Thomas recorded a pair of home runs as well. Weithman hit the ball at a .463 clip, led the team with 44 hits and stole 14 bases.

Kaylyn Risner and Alivia Studer both landed on the second team thanks to their standout seasons. Risner recorded three triples, one home run and carried a .368 batting average. Studer led the team with four home runs, led the team with 21 stolen bases and had a batting average of .400 even.

Madison Cobb was named special mention All-Northern 10 Conference. Cobb batted .338 with 26 hits and recorded 16 RBIs.

Mohawk’s Bailey Sheets was named the Northern 10 Conference Player of the Year. Also, Wynford’s Jamee Burke was named the conference Coach of the Year.
