Galion baseball places two on All-District 9 team

GALION — It’s crazy to think we are already into the postseason for high school baseball. Though the area teams’ seasons are over, some teams around the state are still fighting for a chance at the state tournament.

For Galion, they have two athletes who have received Division II All-District 9 honors. Braxton Prosser and Hudson Miller both made the honorable mention list, thanks to their work done during the 2022 season.

Prosser was able to burst onto the high school baseball scene as a freshman and is a bright spot for the team’s future going forward. The freshman led the team at the plate this season with a .424 batting average, and also knocked in 16 RBIs.

Miller was able to pick up a final accolade to end his high school career. The catcher will be heading to Terra State Community College to continue his baseball and athletic career. In his final go-around at the prep level, Miller batted .339 and had 19 hits.
