Boys basketball | Eagles, Royals win

The Colonel Crawford boys basketball team scored a 64-55 home victory over conference foe Ridgedale Monday night.

The Eagles recovered from a 21-18 halftime deficit by winning the second half 46-34. The team made 21 shots and 17 of 27 free throws, while the Rockets made 20 shots and eight of nine free throws.

Owen Adams led the Eagles with 17 points including four charity shots and a 3-pointer. Brody Martin added 16 points, while Derek Burkhart had 13.

Mo Britton had a monster night leading with 27 points for the Rockets, while Preston Burton added 15.

Colonel Crawford (7-1, 5-0 N10) will host to play Buckeye Central (5-3, 4-1 N10) Wednesday, and the team will play Northmor Saturday to start the New Year.

Wynford Royals

Wynford defeated Crestview 75-60 in a non-conference game Monday evening.

The Royals had a 31-22 lead at halftime. The team shot 26 of 48 and 17 of 24 free throws, while the Cougars made 22 of 59 shots and 11 of 16 free throws.

The Royals lead was enough to cushion a 38-34 loss in the second half of the game.

Braxton Tea led Wynford with a game high 22 points including four 3-pointers, while James Ort added 20 points and Alex Crall finished with 17.

For the Crestview, Keegan Graybeal led with 17 points, while Colton Steven had 14 and Trevor Durbin tallied 10.

Wynford (5-3, 3-2 N10) will host to play Upper Sandusky in league play on Wednesday, and the team will travel to play New London on Saturday.
