Ohio well represented in the NCAA Tournament

The NCAA Tournament is underway in the college basketball landscape and Ohio is well represented on the national scale.

Overall, there will be 32 players in the NCAA Tournament that reside from the buckeye state.

There are a ton of players from notable high schools across Ohio.

Wright State (9)

Tanner Holden: Guard, junior, Wheelersburg, 34 games played, 19.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg

AJ Braun: Center, freshman, Dayton, 26 games played, 5.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg

Keaton Norris: Guard, freshman, Hilliard, 34 games played, 3.2 ppg, 1.9 rpg

James Manns: Forward, redshirt senior, Columbus, 11 games played, 3.2 ppg, 1.1 rpg

Riley Voss: Forward, senior, Milford, 7 games played, 2.0 ppg, 1.0 rpg

Andy Neff: Forward, senior, Oakwood, 9 games played, 0.9 ppg, 1.3 rpg

TJ Nagy: Guard, junior, Bellbrook, 9 games played, 0.0 ppg, 0.2 rpg

Norris is a guard from Hilliard Bradley High School, that did a lot of winning. Norris has been able to gain some playing time as a freshman.

Ohio State’s second leading scorer Malaki Branham is a freshman who played at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary. Branham is originally from Columbus and has played his way into a potential NBA Draft pick.

Love day is a one-time Ohio State recruit that ended up commuting to Baylor. The sophomore has appeared in 11 games.

Logan Duncomb: Center, freshman, Cincinnati, 8 games played, 0.8 ppg, 0.6 rpg

Michael Shipp: Guard, junior, Cincinnati, has not played this season

The Buckeyes recruited Duncomb and even offfeded the Cincinnati Moeller graduate. As a freshman, Duncomb has played in eight games.

Davidson (2)

Grant Huffman: Guard, sophmore, Aurora, 27 games played, 3.9 ppg, 2.1 rpg

Desmond Watson: Guard/forward, freshman, Columbus, 33 games played, 2.9 ppg, 1.3 rpg

Grant Huffman played for St. Edwards in Northeast Ohio and has carved out a role with Davidson.

Kentucky (1)

CJ Fredrick: Guard, redshirt junior, Cincinnati, has not played this season

Frederick is an Iowa transfer that is out the entire season for the Wildcats.
