Taylor, Lehman in top 15 at Marion Harding Invitational

MARION — Sophomores Chad Taylor of Galion and Ryan Lehman of Northmor each posted a top 15 finish at the 19th annual Marion Harding Invitational last Saturday.

Taylor came in seventh place in the individual results at Harding, crossing the finish line with a time of 16:50.8 to pace the Tigers to 14th position in the final team standings. Galion finished with 392 points.

Lehman finished in 13th place with a time of 17:01.1 to help the Golden Knights earn 15th place in the team results. Northmor tallied 401 points.

Following are the rest of the individual results for the Galion boys team: Cannon Butler, 84th, 18:28.1; Erik Hilario, 99th, 18:41.5; Kellen Kiser, 104th, 18:49.8; Caleb Brutchey, 138th, 19:42.9; Anthony Ferini, 139th, 19:44.1; Tyler Fraizer, 144th, 19:50; Josue Hilario, 168th, 21:11.7; Ryan Sutton, 173rd, 21:35.4; Riley Gabriel, 192nd, 24:12.5.

Following are the rest of the individual results for the Northmor boys team: Lucas Weaver, 79th, 18:21.3; Connor Radojcsics, 89th, 18:29.6; Bryce Cooper, 126th, 19:10.2; Parker Brown, 145th, 19:56.4; Dylan Amens, 170th, 21:17.

Colonel Crawford placed 20th with 535 points. Following are the Eagles results: Luke Lawson, 93rd, 18:34.4; Adam Scott, 117th, 18:59.8; Landon Sutter, 123rd, 19:09; Jack Agee, 133rd, 19:31.2; James Carson, 146th, 19:58.3; Aden Wagner, 157th, 20:21.6; Grant Heinle, 178th, 21:52.4;

Galion and Colonel Crawford each tallied 198 points, but the Lady Tigers claimed sixth place via a tiebreaker and the Eagles came in seventh place. Northmor placed 21st in the girls team standings with 552 points.

Gabby Roston of Colonel Crawford finished in fifth place with a time of 20:05.4. Izzy Roston placed 16th with a time of 20:47.8. Following are the rest of the Eagles results: Cecelia Chase, 48th, 22:03.8; Olivia Hardy, 55th, 22:29.5; Sheba Sulser, 93rd, 23:39.6; Olivia Chase, 126th, 25:05.3; Haylee Quaintance, 178th, 28:25.9.

Following are the individual results for the Galion girls team: Emily McDonald, 26th, 21:01.2; Nora Harding, 28th, 21:10.1 (PR); Zaynah Tate, 29th, 21:13.1; Ava Smith, 35th, 21:36.3; Natalee Perkins, 99th, 24:01.5; Jasmine Clingman, 107th, 24:19.8; Grace Sparks, 132nd, 25:23.6; Elisha Brown, 138th, 25:34.6; Ella Lehman, 145th, 25:42.2; Zoee Brissell, 170th, 27:07.6.

Following are the individual results for the Northmor girls team: Madison Yaussy, 90th, 23:33.8; Maizy Brinkman, 129th, 25:22.1; Kaylene Brinkman, 137th, 25:33.5; Haley Dille, 141st, 25:40.4; Hannah Kanagy, 155th, 26:16.8; Ella Creswell, 166th, 27:02.1; Harley Barler, 175th, 27:40.9; Riley Yunker, 177th, 28:19.1; Kelbie Knightlinger, 185th, 29:20.6; Katie Statler, 197th, 33:31.1.

Shelby won the boys team championship and Lexington was the girls team champion.

Upcoming schedule

Galion will compete in the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference championships this Saturday at Marion Harding High School. The meet begins at 9 a.m.

Northmor is scheduled to compete in the Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference championships on Saturday at Mount Gilead High School. The meet begins at 11 a.m.

Colonel Crawford will compete in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference championships on Saturday at Seneca East High School. Meet time is 10 a.m.
