The Lady Colts kicked off their 2015-2016 basketball campaign with a hard fought win over Loudonville, pushing past the Redbirds by a 46-44 margin.
Clear Fork built a steady 23-16 point lead at the midway mark of the contest, but were outscored by 7 points in the third quarter, which knotted the game at 29.
The Colts 17 point fourth quarter was the difference in the game, as Clear Fork knocked off the Redbirds by 2 points.
Scoring in double figures for the Lady Colts was junior Darien Gottfried, who lead the way with 17 and senior Montana Walker who banked 10 points.
Clear Fork shot 1-3 from behind the arch, as Sarah Swank hit the team’s lone three-point bucket.
The Colts in total shot 19-46 from the field and 7-13 from the free-throw line.
The team moves to 1-0 on the season and is slated to take on Lexington, away, on Thursday at 7 p.m.
