Bucyrus lost its second game of the season with a 63-40 defeat from North Union. The Lady Wildcats maintain scored an average of more than 5 points than the Lady Redmen per quarter and had a 28-16 lead at halftime.
Senior Kelci Simms had 11 points and 11 rebounds, while senior Gabby Seibert added 10 points.
Bucyrus (0-2) will host Seneca East (0-0) on Dec. 4.
Colonel Crawford Eagles
Colonel Crawford lost to New Riegel Tuesday 54-49. Alexus Burkhart led the Eagles (1-2) with 17 points including three 3-pointers, while Kristin Vehrs had 14 points, three free throws and three 3-pointers.
The team will host Plymouth Saturday.
The Northmor girls got into the win column on Tuesday, as they played a defensive gem in topping Crestline 63-17.
The Knights were able to shut out their opponents for the entire first half, outscoring them 20-0 in the first quarter and 16-0 in the second to hold a 36-0 lead at the intermission. They took the third 20-10 before both teams scored seven in the fourth to finish on top by 46.
Karalee Patterson tallied 19 points, hitting four three-pointers in the process, to lead the Knights. Maddie Swihart added 14. Brooke Bennett finished with nine rebounds and both Cristianna Boggs and Karlee Carroll tallied three assists.
Crestview achieved a 56-47 victory over the Wynford at W.R. Donnenwirth Gym Tuesday night.
The Royals were tied at 13 after the first half and trailing 35-33 before the final quarter. At that point, the Cougars shot 8 for 8 for the win. Crestview’s defense forced Wynford into 34 turnovers.
Sara Ogden who led the Royals with 15 points, while Alyssa Harrer and Gretchen Harris each had 11. Harrer also blocked four shots.
Renee Stimpert led the Cougars with 22 points with six rebounds and four assists. Jackie Baith added 11 points and Lexie Shriver had nine. The Cougars (3-0) will host Buckeye Central on Dec. 1.
The Royals (1-1) will host Riverdale on Saturday.
