Buckeye Central’s volleyball season came to an to end Tuesday night in the district semifinals of the 2015 Ohio High School Athletic Association’s championship.

The No. 3 seed Buckettes (18-5) lost its match to No. 4 seed Norwalk St. Paul (19-7) by scores of 21-25, 25-14, 21-25, 25-20 and 15-12, at Willard High School for the semifinals of the Div. IV Willard District.

Buckeye Central also lost to the Lady Flyers in three sets during the semifinals last year.

The Buckettes recorded 90 digs, 50 kills, 49 assists, 39 serving points and 4 aces.

Jenna Karl added 20 kills and 26 digs, while Jenna Delarber had 19 kills for Buckeye Central. Addie Ackerman finished with 46 assists and 14 digs, Bailey Agin tallied 20 digs and 2 aces and Erin Baldosser added 18 digs and 2 aces.

St. Paul ended the game with 136 digs, 56 kills, 52 assists, 51 serving points and 15 aces.

Halle Schoen finished with 34 digs, 26 kills and five aces for the Flyers. Kaeleigh Stang added 44 digs, while Rachel Bleile had 48 assists and 20 digs. Lindsey Llewellyn also added 21 kills.

St. Paul lost to No. 1 seed Monroelville Thursday by scores of 25-23, 25-16 and 25-23. Monroelville had defeated No. 8 seed Sandusky Central Cathoic School with three sets in the other semifinal match earlier Tuesday evening.

As winner of the Attica District, Monroelville will battle Toledo Christian, the Fostoria District champion, in the Div. IV Elida Region at Elida High School, 6 p.m. Nov. 5.
