GALION — at Victory Lanes on Thursday, Galion’s boys bowling team knocked off Shelby in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action, 2,146-2,023.

Jason Guthridge had the top scores for Galion with games of 265-212 for a 477 total. Austin Rinehart had scores of 236-214 — 450; followed by A.J. Randalph with a 197-182 — 379 and Alan Evans chipped in with games of 149-148 — 297. The Tigers had Baker scores of 174 and 137 to make up their total.

On Tuesday evening, Galion’s boys team beat Ridgedale, 2,205-1,914.

In that match, A.J. Randalph led the way with scores of 207-242 — 455; followed by Austin Rinehart with scores of 188-209 — 397; Alan Evans 209-168 — 377 and Jason 203-172 — 375. Galion had Baker scores of 195-151 — 346.

Also, last Saturday, Galion’s boys team won the team title — competing against nine other teams — with a team score of Galion bowlers turned in rounds of 212-189-162-152 — 715; 179-188-187-158 — 712 (1427); 171-160-186-126 — 705 (2132); 171-160-186- 643 (2775).

Eagles’ Fenner joins 1,000-point club

SYCAMORE — In Thursday’s 71-61 boys basketball win over Mohawk, the Eagles’ Jordan Fenner became the ninth boys basketball player at Colonel Crawford to score 1,000 points. The Eagles are in action again Saturday vs. Colonel Crawford.

Lady Bulldogs win again

KIDRON — Crestline outscored Kidron Central Christian 8-5 in the fourth quarter Thursday to pick up a 32-29 win. Lauryn Tadda led the Bulldogs with 13 points and pulled down 17 rebounds. Daija Sewell scored eight points and Kennedy Moore scored six.
