Prep football: Eagles, Royals, Bucks win big

Colonel Crawford 42, Akron Manchester 20

Will Kirkpatrick and Blake Treisch combined for 328 yards rushing and five touchdowns to lead Colonel Crawford to a 42-20 victory over Akron Manchester on Friday. Kirkpatrick rushed for 181 yards and two scores and Treisch amassed 147 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Kirkpatrick completed 4-of-5 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown toss to Noah Ferguson. Ferguson finished with two receptions for 39 yards. Owen Adams caught one pass for 33 yards and Brock Cotsmire made one catch for 15 yards.

The Eagles (6-1, 4-1 Northern 10) piled up 415 total yards and held Manchester (3-4) to 312 yards of offense.

Wynford 55, Seneca East 6

The Royals (6-1, 5-0 Northern 10) reaffirmed their role as the dominant team in the Northern 10 on Friday, crushing Seneca East 55-6 in front of a big homecoing crowd in Holmes Township. Wynford rolled up 575 yards of offense, including 550 rushing yards.

Nick Looker and Zach Hoffman each rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns, and Cole Fortner rushed for 110 yards and two scores.

The Royals held Tigers quarterback Brennan Martin, the N10’s leading passer, in check. He completed 12-of-28 passes for 133 yards and the lone score for Seneca East (5-2, 4-2 Northern 10). Wynford limited the Tigers to just 57 yards rushing.

Buckeye Central 48, Bucyrus 19

Bucks quarterback Grant Loy passed for 197 yards and four touchdowns to lead Buckeye Central past Bucyrus, 48-19. Athen Moyer rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown for the Bucks (5-2, 3-2 Northern 10). Buckeye Central also scored two special teams touchdowns — one on a blocked punt, the second on a kickoff return by Tyler Trapp.

Sophomore quarterback Damon Parsell provided the offense for Bucyrus (1-6, 0-4 Northern 10). He passed for 133 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 118 yards. Logan Tackett and Bailey Johnston each scored a rushing touchdown for the Redmen.

Lucas 61, Crestline 7

The Cubs (7-0) remained undefeated after handing the Bulldogs (0-7) a 61-7 defeat on Friday at Hutson Stadium. Lucas built a 48-7 lead at halftime and finished 324 rushing yards and 374 total yards.

J.R. Wolfe and Tyler Sipes combined to score Crestline’s only touchdown of the night. Wolfe hit Sipes for a 75-yard scoring pass that cut the Lucas lead to 14-7 in the first quarter.

Wolfe completed 6-of-21 passes for 114 yards with two interceptions. Sipes finished with 78 yards receiving on two catches. Ty Clark caught two passes for 29 yards.

The Bulldogs rushed for 47 yards on 14 carries. J.C. Clark led Crestline with 18 yards rushing. Wolfe added 16 and Caleb Moore finished with 13 yards.
