Galion boys 19th, girls 21st at Galion Cross Country Festival

The Galion boys came in 19th place and the girls placed 21st in the Div. II meet on Saturday at the Galion Cross Country Festival.

Bay cruised to victory in the boys team standings, scoring 77 points with all of its placers finishing in the top 30. Colin Theis of Buckeye won the boys individual title, posting a time of 15 minutes, 49.4 seconds.

Cloverleaf won the girls team championship after scoring 92 points. Emma Hollerich of Fairfield Union captured the individual title with a time of 18:49.5.

Senior Casey Barker was the top placer for the Tigers’ boys. He finished 49th with a time of 18:13. His average mile time was 5:51.4.

Lucas Conner came in 86th place with a time of 18:54.4. Colin McCullough finished in 105th place, posting a time of 19:24.8. Luke Eisnaugle placed 109th, recording a time of 19:28.4. Thomas Shawk came in 138th with a time of 20:10.3, rounding out the top five runners for Galion. Mikey Stover finished 147th with a time of 20:24.6.

Freshman Sari Conner was Galion’s top placer in the girls race, finishing in 81st position. Her time was 22:10. Her average mile time was 7:07.6.

Megan Zier came in 106th place, posting a time of 23:24.1. Ashlie Sallee finished 112th with a time of 23:47.2. Lauren Huggins placed 117th, recording a time of 24:20.8. Abby Barre rounded out the top five for Galion, finishing in 119th place with a time of 24:22.5.

Kelsey Hoffman placed 120th with a time of 24:24.2. Lexi Hadamuscin came in 134th place with a time of 25:48.

Galion posted the following results in the boys open race: Kyle Bauer (175th, 21:52.7), Kurt Ensman (187th, 22:06.2), Bryce Barnhart (192nd, 22:11.3), Bailey Franks (255th, 24:29.1).

Tigers’ runners turned in the following results in the girls open race: Destiny Yoder (204th, 28:11.7), Alexis Link (263rd, 32:09.4).
