Northmor’s Duryea wins girls title at Bucyrus Elks CC Invite

Northmor’s Kristen Duryea captured the girls individual championship on Saturday at the Bucyrus Elks #156 Cross Country Invitational. The junior completed the 5-kilometer course at the Crawford County Fairgrounds in 20 minutes, 23.99 seconds.

The Knights placed second in the girls team standings behind meet champion Bellevue. The Lady Red tallied 72 points while Northmor’s ladies finished with 95 points.

Northmor’s Isabelle Ditullio and Brooke Bennett finished 14th and 15th, respectively. Ditullio’s time was 21:35.21. Bennett posted a time of 21:37.12. Samantha Peters came in 24th with a time of 22:13.82. Sydney Jennette placed 45th with a time of 23:03.71.

Highland’s Sophia Thompson paced the Scots by finishing sixth in the individual table. She completed the course in 20:59.07. The Scots finished sixth in the team standings.

Shaylee Campbell was the top runner for Bucyrus, turning in a time of 21:41.23 to place 16th. The Lady Redmen finished seventh as a team.

Colonel Crawford’s Anna Reffey and Emily Kemper crossed the finish line within seconds of each other. Reffey claimed 22nd place with a time of 22:09.21. Kemper placed 23rd, posting a time of 22:13.15 22. The Eagles finished 11th as a team.
