Led by Nick Gremling, Colonel Crawford finished in fourth place at the Bucyrus Elks #156 Golf Invitational held Monday at the Golf Club of Bucyrus.

Gremling shot 85, making a birdie on the par-5 number five hole and shooting par on eight other holes. The Eagles’ team score was 369.

Jake Roesch finished with a round of 94 for the Eagles. He birdied number five and made par on two other holes.

Nick Trease and Isaak Sulser each shot 95. Trease and Sulser each made par on four holes.

Eli Shultz carded a round 97, recording par on two holes. Austin Strouse ended the day at 101 and made par on two holes.

Seneca East won the tournament after posting a score of 347, six shots better than Northern 10 Athletic Conference rival Mohawk, which finished at 353. Many area prep golf pundits favor Mohawk to win the N10 boys championship this season.

Lexington placed third after shooting 361. Bellevue came in fifth place with a round of 398. Host Bucyrus finished sixth with a score of 409. Ashland carded 426 to take seventh place and Wynford shot 462 to finish ninth.

Except for one match against Crestline, the remainder of the Eagles’ regular season schedule will be played against Northern 10 foes. Colonel Crawford rounds out the month of August with the following opponents: Aug. 24 v. Mohawk; Aug. 27 at Wynford; and Aug. 31 v. Seneca East.

September tees off with a visit to Bucyrus on Sept. 3. The rest of the month features the following lineup of opponents: Sept. 8 at Ridgedale; Sept. 10 v. Crestline; Sept. 14 v. Buckeye Central; Sept. 17 at Upper Sandusky; Sept. 24 at Carey.

The N10 boys golf championships will be played Sept. 22 at Valley View Golf Course. Mohawk is the host school this season.
