BUCYRUS — Back on Monday, August 14 the Crestline Bulldogs golf team traveled to The Golf Club of Bucyrus to compete in the annual Bucyrus Elks Invite.

The event was won by the Tigers from Galion High School, shooting a team score of 314 at the 18-hole event. Crestline finished 12th with an overall score of 488.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs on the day was senior Zac Hatfield. Hatfield turned in a 47 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine for a combined score of 92. Devon Reed chipped in a 126, Jonny Tesso a 131, Spencer Harley a 139 and Levi Miller finished up the scoring with a 166.

“Even though some of our scores were higher, I still can see improvement in their golf games,” says Crestline head coach Steve Garberich. “A couple of holes for each player cost them greatly. We don’t have a match for a while, so that gives the boys a little time to work on their golfing skills,” Garberich concludes.
