Toy pitches, hits Lady Bulldogs to victory

LOUDONVILLE — For the second day in a row, the Crestline Lady Bulldogs met up with the Loudonville Lady Redbirds in Mid-Buckeye Conference softball action.

Also for the second day in a row, Crestline came away with the victory, this time winning 8-4 on the road.

Sarah Toy picked up the pitching win, allowing 10 hits, four runs (three earned), walking one and striking out six in seven innings.. Toy would help her cause in a big time manner at the plate, gathering a single, a double and a homerun while scoring once and driving in four runs on the day.

Michaela Jeffrey racked up three singles and a double on the day, scoring twice. Lydia Tadda had two doubles, scored once and drove in three runs in the win. Courtney Swanger and Madison Huber had a single, a run scored and a stolen base apiece. Samantha Wilhite recorded a single and an RBI and Dennesa Baker and Dsiree Naveja also had a single apiece. Sydney Weisman and Lauryn Tadda bothed scored runs on the day to round out the Crestline scoring.

The Bulldogs will be back in MBC on Thursday, May 4 when they head to Danville to take on the Lady Blue Devils. On Friday, May 5, Crestline will play host to that same Danville squad.
