Lexington outswims the Eagles

NORTH ROBINSON — The Lexington Minutemen traveled to meet up with the Colonel Crawford Eagles in the pool Dec.8. Colonel Crawford would lose on both the boys side and the girls side of the dual.

The Eagles’ girls team loss by a final score of 61-33.

Jillianne Gregg and Pierce Krassow were the only two race winners on the night for Colonel Crawford. Gregg took first place in the 50 yard freestyle race, finishing in a time of 25.49. Krassow grabbed first in the 100 yard freestyle event with a time of 58.99.

The boys squad found themselves in a bit of a closer competition with Lexington but fell to the Minutemen, 48-46.

Ken Fernandez and Jake Johnson were the individual winners for the Eagles, taking two victories apiece. Fernandez won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:07.05 and the 100 yard freestyle in a time of 57.53. Johnson was the winner in the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 22.96 and the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.92. Both Fernandez and Johnson were joined by Nic Motter and Alex Hershey to win the 200 yard freestyle relay event. They finished the race in 1:39.38.
