Northmor volleyball dealt first loss

CENTERBURG — The Northmor Knights lost for the first time this season on Tuesday night. The defeat came from the Centerburg Trojans, Northmor’s inner-divisional foe in the Blue Division of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference. Centerburg gained the victory in three sets 25-23, 25-14 and 25-22.

Top contributors for the Knights on the evening were Jordyn Zoll, Kelsie Fike, Anna Donner and Caitlin Thebeault.

Thebeault was 12/12 serving for Northmor with three aces and added six assists on offense. Fike was 11/11 from the service line and recorded nine kills. Donner had seven kills on offense and was strong defensively with three blocks and 15 total digs. Zoll was also perfect on the serve at 17/17 and gave the Knights 13 assists. On the defensive side of things, Zoll provided 12 digs. Cristianna Boggs also had 13 digs on the evening.

The junior varsity team for the Knights also fell to the Trojans: 25-14, 25-18.

Northmor’s varsity team is now 6-1 on the year and 2-1 in the MOAC Blue Division.
