Highland topped East Knox by a 10-3 margin on Friday. The Scots scored three in the first inning and never trailed in the game. A three-run third brought the Bulldogs within a 7-3 margin early in the game, but Highland got one in the fifth and two more in the sixth to pull away for the win.

Conner Ulrey pitched five innings to claim his fifth win of the year, while Mack Anglin finished the contest. Chase Beam had four hits, including a double. Justin Robinson also hit a double early in the game, as he, Beam, Andrew Stillwell, Wyatt Gresh and Jacob Fox scored runs in the first two innings to stake the Scots to an early 5-0 lead.

Mount Gilead Indians

Mount Gilead split a Saturday doubleheader with Northridge, winning the first game 6-2, but falling in the second.

Dustin McAvoy pitched a complete game to win the first contest, striking out five, while walking two and surrendering four hits. Offensively, the team backed him up with seven hits, including three by Alex Coder.

In the second game, the Indians fell by a 13-7 margin. Cory Conant, Tyler Conners and Tyler Bland combined to strike out three and walk five, while giving up 16 hits. Conant was the pitcher of record.

The team tallied 11 hits, with Evan Edwards picking up two singles and two doubles. Coder had two singles, while Conners added a double.

Northmor Knights

In the second game, Northmor lost to the host team by a 3-1 score. Hillsdale scored all three of their runs in the second inning. Northmor scored once in the fourth, but would not be able to get closer than a two-run margin.
