SHELBY — Donald Paullin, Asst. Director, Adult Education at Pioneer Career & Technology Center gave a presentation at the March Board of Education meeting on Monday evening. Paullin stated Construction Technology will be offered this year in the Adult Education program.

Construction Technology is a more in-depth class teaching the commercial side of construction. Paullin commented Judge Leuthold from Crawford County has been using construction technology as an inversion program. Also, IT will be offered. This course will be taught online. Other future programs are Fiber Optics and CDL. The demand for fiber optics and CDL has been high and Paullin feels it will be a great benefit to the surrounding community individuals. Financial assistance is available to most students.

The Adult Graduation program has been very successful at Pioneer. Several students from the surrounding area will be receiving their diplomas soon. Adult Graduation will be May 26 at 5:30 p.m. at Pioneer this year.
