Northmor students see career options

0

GALION — Northmor Junior and Senior JOG had their second annual Career Day in the high school gym on Feb. 23. The program invited twenty companies and military units to come to Northmor and answer the students’ questions about the requirements of skills, education, starting wages and benefits needed to be employed at their companies.

The students engaged with the businesses and learned more about different career options.

The feedback from the students at Northmor was very positive and students expressed thanks for having the Career Day. They also enjoyed getting free items from the companies. Students were surprised that they could be successful in a career without a college degree. Students were also surprised that they could get some of the jobs while still in high school.

Overall the students feel they are providing themselves away to prepare us for our future career.
