Danielle Blum, a senior Biochemistry major from Galion, Ohio, was among eight Heidelberg University students who represented the university at the annual American Chemical Society national conference in San Diego March 12-17.

While at the conference, several of the students, who are members of Heidelberg’s Chemistry Club, presented their research during poster sessions. Heidelberg students also participated in a “demo exchange” during which they conducted an experiment on stage.

The highlight was the annual ACS awards ceremony. Senior Lily White accepted two awards on behalf of the Heidelberg chapter: a Green Chemistry Award and an Outstanding Award, the highest honor that a student chapter of ACS can receive.
