Crestline Superintendent Noreen Mullens received a contract extension Tuesday night.

The four-year deal runs from Aug. 1, 2016 through July 31, 2021 and her annual salary will remain at $86,000.

The Administrative and Financial portion of the meeting pursued ways district employees will be addressed as far as their background information and training.

The Board of Education agreed to have background checks conducted through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and further obtain information through the Federal Bureau of Investigation at each employee’s expense.

School officials say this will allow the Board of Education to train their employees through the district’s Exposure Control Plan, Sports Medicine with Crestline’s coaches as well as additional state requirements.

The board meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month and will be held at the high school media center.
