Galion City Councils Streets, Alleys, Trees, and Bridges will meet at 7 p.m. in council chambers.
Third Friday in Uptowne Galion July 15
The Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce hosts Third Fridays In Galion, or TFIG, in Uptowne Galion Friday. TFIG is an opportunity for the Galion community to gather Uptowne and support local Galion merchants. Third Friday continues through September.
Composting third weekends July 16
The Taylor Road composting facility will be open on the third weekend of each month (unless otherwise noted). Yard waste, including limbs, brush, grass clippings and leaves, will be accepted free of charge to City of Galion and Polk Township residents. Chemically treated wood, such as deck material and railroad ties, stones and concrete are not accepted. The facility is located at 545 Taylor Road in Galion. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Concert on the East Porch, Gill House on July 24
The popular Concerts on the East Porch: Bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy live music under the shade of the spreading copper beech. The next event is July 24, at 6:00 p.m. Concerts are free with donations warmly accepted.
Henry Ford Birthday Party at Gill House July 30
The Henry Ford Birthday Party celebration will return for a third time on Saturday, July 30. Cars, food, music – even Henry Ford himself may visit.
