Crawford Park District Board meets May 19

Board of Park Commissioners will hold their monthly meeting for May on Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center, 2401 State Route 598, Crestline. For more information, please contact the Park District Office at 419-683-9000.

Crawford Board of DD meets May 19

The Crawford County Board of DD will hold their regular board meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the board room at 1630 E. Southern Avenue, Bucyrus.

Police, Fire, Health Committee Meets May 19

Galion City Council Police, Fire, Health Committee meets at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 301 Harding Way East.

Depot Day Galion May 21

Depot Day at the Big Four Depot is an opportunity to take a tour, talk to railroad enthusiasts, and enjoy music, displays and much more. The event, hosted by the Friends of the Big Four, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Food Pantry open May 21

The Food Pantry at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will be open Saturday, May 21, from 9 to 11 a.m. Please bring a Photo ID and Proof of Residency.

Rummage Sale May 21

Blooming Grove United Methodist church is having a huge rummage sale on Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m.

Chicken & Hot dog sandwiches & Baked goods.

Composting May 21, 22

The Taylor Road composting facility open.Yard waste, including limbs, brush, grass clippings and leaves, will be accepted free of charge to City of Galion and Polk Township residents. Chemically treated wood, such as deck material and railroad ties, stones and concrete are not accepted.The facility is located at 545 Taylor Road in Galion. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Computer Class May 24

The Crestline Public Library will conduct an introductory computer class on May 24, 3-4:30 p.m. The class is limited to 6 and sign up is required. Call 419-683-3909 to register.

City Council meets May 24

Galion City Council will conduct its regular meeting at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 301 Harding Way East. For information, go to the city’s website galion.city or contact the clerk of council at 419-468-9557. The meeting will be livestreamed on The City of Galion Facebook page.

Crestline Farmers Market begins May 24

The 2022 Crestline Farmers Market begins May 3, 3-6 p.m., 202 N.Thoman St. and continues every Tuesday from May through October. Interested vendors should contact Market Director Becky McKean 419-545-1090 for more information.
