GALION — Monday Crawford County Sheriff’s Office concluded a child pornography investigation into illegal possession of explicit images of juveniles. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant at 1965 S.R 598 Galion at 12:34 p.m.

Gary Lee Painter, 50, who resides at the address, was arrested. Painter was the target of the investigation. Deputies seized multiple electronic devices.

Criminal charges are pending against Painter for Possession of Child Pornography. Painter is currently incarcerated at the Crawford County Justice Center and reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutors Office for consideration of additional charges.

This case is still currently being investigated by detectives from the Sheriff’s Office.
