Board: Buckeye Central finances good

Buckeye Central School District is reporting positive finances.

Board member Beth Diesch said monthly projections and actuals continue to closely match and follow the forecast.

Superintendent Mark Robinson said the board is studying:

* A pilot computer program for next (2016-17) school year

* Hiring of an athletic director, head football coach, special education teacher, elementary teacher

* Initiating the Leader In Me program

* Implementing heightened professional development activities; and adding science, technology, reading, and math equipment and materials to enhance the district’s overall educational program.

The meeting schedule for 2016 will be 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the district’s Multi-Purpose Room.

The board will hold an organizational meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 14, followed by the regular board meeting at 7:30 p.m.
