Bucyrus Public Library expands its boundaries

0

As of Nov. 24, the Bucyrus Public Library has extended its boundaries to include a larger portion of Crawford County.

As a municipal library, the Bucyrus Public Library’s taxpayer authority is Bucyrus City Council; the library’s former boundaries only included Bucyrus City and its patrons.

The new boundaries include Wynford and and part of Colonel Crawford School Districts and several surrounding townships. There will be no immediate changes for cardholders; the boundary expansion only widens the service areas that will be able to vote in the instance of a levy. This also means the millage would be dispersed over a larger amount of households, so the taxpayer amount per household would decrease.

An image of the library’s new boundaries will be available at the main circulation desk.
