The members of the Crawford County Retired Teachers met on June 15 at Galion First United Church of Christ.
Joan Heft led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the meeting and Tom Morton presented devotions.
Mrs. Joyce Gortz and her friend, Griff, presented a program on therapy dogs and their services, as lunch was served by the church ladies to the 33 members in attendance.
Richard Stearns reported on the membership and legislative committees and encouraged an effort to increase membership because government officials are still trying to take over Ohio Retired Teachers’ Association and Crawford County Retired Teacher Association funds.
Next meeting will be September 21 at noon at Lowe Volk Park. Lunch will provided by Carle’s.
