GALION — After 43 years of employment with Urban Industries in Galion, Sheri Burdette is retiring on Oct. 28. She began her career with Urban Industries on Oct. 3, 1978.

Company officials said Burdette has been a valuable employee and friend as she worked, trained, and supervised countless individuals over her 43 years with Urban Industries. Burdette was never afraid to take on new duties and learned to do things she never dreamed she would do back in 1978. Learning to operate the forklift is one of these duties.

Burdette is a lifelong resident of Galion and has two daughters who live locally, Cori and Christi, and another daughter, Mary, who lives in Germany.

Burdette enjoys motorcycle rides, music, and Blues festivals. Upon retiring, she plans to spend quality time with her husband (and best friend) Mike, and parents, Jim and Jackie Quaintance. A trip to Germany, to visit Mary, is also on her retirement “to do” list.

Urban Industries wishes to thank Sheri Burdette for her years of dedication and hard work.
