The GCVMFD provide a dignified military style service for veterans’ funerals, which can include color guard and taps. The coats would be worn during inclement weather. The detail has participated in 51 funerals this year.

Easterday said the Detail has 22 members down from 36 last year and is in need of veterans, which served at least a day of active duty, to join. Donations for the detail can be made to GCVMFD and mailed to 1105 Westmoor Drive, Galion, Ohio, 44833.
