Police issued a warning for excessive speed to a motorist following a traffic stop in the vicinity of First Avenue and Harding Way East.

Police provided standby for a female subject and a male subject who were removing their belongings from a rental property in the 400 block of Libby Lane. Standby was completed without incident.

Police and deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an alleged drug overdose in the 1200 block of State Route 61. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged breaking and entering that was reported at a residence in the 600 block of Crew Avenue. Property owner told police that unknown subjects attempted to break into their garage. Police took information for a report.

Police issued a warning for disorderly conduct to a male subject after responding to a report of an incident in the 1500 block of Trachsel Place. Male subject was allegedly harassing a neighbor in that vicinity.

Police were requested to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the 100 block of North Washington Street. Caller told dispatch that her son needed assistance and wanted him to be taken to the hospital. No one was at the residence when police arrived on the scene.

Police were requested to make contact with a male subject in the 800 block of Carter Drive who was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant. The male subject was not at that location when police arrived. Police were informed the subject had moved.

Police investigated a report of a male subject arrested on domestic violence charges who had been released on bond and was harassing a female subject. Female told police terms of bond included no contact with her. Police took information for a report.

Police arrested a male subject on suspicion of persistent disorderly conduct after responding to an incident in the 1500 block of Trachsel Place. Male subject was accused of threatening a person with a knife.

Police investigated a report of a cellphone that was stolen and found damaged in the 400 block of Portland Way North. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft from a motor vehicle that was reported in the 1100 block of Harding Way East. Individual told police that unknown subjects stole the catalytic converter off of his pickup truck. Police took information for a report.

Oct. 6

Police issued warnings to a male subject and a female subject after responding to a report of a fight at a residence in the 600 block of Crew Avenue.

Police arrested a male subject in the 60 block of Fairview Avenue on a felony warrant issued by authorities in Morrow County. Police then transferred the male subject to the custody of Morrow County law enforcement officers.

Police investigated a report of a reckless driver in the 200 block of Gelsanliter Road. The vehicle then pulled off the roadway. Police made contact with the motorist who advised them she was talking on her telephone while operating the vehicle.

Police responded to a report of a female subject who fell at her residence in the 1300 block of Harding Way. EMS arrived on the scene to provide treatment.

Police investigated a report about juveniles who allegedly ditched a bicycle in the 500 block of South Riblet Street and then left the area. Caller informed dispatch that the juveniles returned and allegedly attempted to enter his garage. Juveniles also allegedly attempted to enter a garage in the 600 block of Richardson Avenue. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a hit-skip crash that occurred in the parking lot of Galion Community Hospital in the 200 block of Portland Way South. Caller told dispatch that they were receiving treatment in the hospital’s emergency department and when they returned to their vehicle, it had been struck by an unknown subject. Police took information for a report.

Police are investigating a report of a missing male juvenile. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged vandalism that was reported in the 400 block of Harding Way West. Caller informed dispatch that they heard a loud noise outside of their residence and discovered that an unknown subject had overturned a statue, a grill, and other items located adjacent to the porch at their residence. Individual requested extra patrols in their neighborhood.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for not having a working passenger side headlight following a traffic stop in the vicinity of Bucyrus Road and Tidd drive.

Police issued a warning for disorderly conduct to a female subject after responding to a report of a verbal dispute in the 500 block of South Market Street.

Police responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a deer along State Route 309. Deer was deceased when police arrived and was removed from the roadway. No other injuries to the motorist were reported.

Police investigated a report of two suspicious persons sitting a parked vehicle in the 600 block of Harding Way East. Police made contacts with the subjects who told them they were returning from a trip and had stopped to rest for a while.

Oct. 7

Police assisted deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop in the 900 block of Portland Way North. No issues were reported at the scene.

Police issued a verbal warning to a bicyclist who riding at night without lights in the vicinity of McClure Street and Eighth Avenue. Police advised the bicyclist to return home for the night. Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of two suspicious persons in that area.

Police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of Harding Way West. Caller informed dispatch that a vehicle was parked near the walking path. The vehicle was unoccupied when police arrived on the scene.

Police issued a verbal warning for a turn signal violation to a motorist following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Pounder Avenue.

Police responded to a request for assistance from deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at a residence in the 400 block of Libby Lane. No issues were reported at the scene.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for not observing the marked lanes on the roadway following a traffic stop in the vicinity of Harding Way East and Pounder Avenue.

Police responded to a request for an officer at residence in the 400 block of Harding Way West. Female subject said a male subject who had been released on bond following his arrest on domestic violence charges was at her door. Police took information for a report.

Police issued a citation to a motorist for violation of assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the vicinity of Harding Way West and South Boston Street. Driver who was cited hit a delivery truck in the rear. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a report of a dispute over property that occurred in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street. The dispute was resolved and the two subjects were advised to stay away from each other. One of the subjects was wanted on a warrant issued by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. Police detained the subject and transferred them to the custody of sheriff’s deputies.

Police assisted deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation at a residence in the 200 block of South Market Street. Female subject being sought by authorities was not at that location when law enforcement arrived on the scene.

Police investigated a report of a vehicle that allegedly caused damage to property along High Street. Property owner told police that a semi cut through his yard and caused damage to some bushes. Police took information for a report.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for a turn signal violation following a traffic stop in the vicinity of Dawsett Avenue and First Avenue.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for not having functioning brake lights following a traffic stop in the vicinity of West Church Street and Union Street.

Police investigated a report of debris in the roadway in the vicinity of Union Street and Booth Drive. The debris was removed from the roadway.

Police investigated a report of a dispute between a landlord and a tenant that allegedly occurred at a residence in the 400 block of Harding Way East. Tenant collected his belongings and left the residence.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for not having a functioning passenger side headlight following a traffic stop in the vicinity of West Church Street and Union Street.

Police investigated a report of a female subject who was allegedly heard screaming in the vicinity of South Boston Street and Grove Avenue. Police were unable to locate a female subject in the area when they arrived on the scene.

Police were requested by the Mansfield Police Department to make contact with the driver of a vehicle that was allegedly involved in a hit-skip crash that was reported in the municipal parking lot in Mansfield. Police contacted the driver and advised him to contact the Mansfield Police Department.
