Sept. 17

Police arrested a male subject on suspicion of domestic violence after responding to a report of a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Fifth Avenue. Caller told the dispatcher that two females and a male subject were involved in the incident. The male was taken into custody.

Police investigated a report of a male subject threatening to harm another individual in the 600 block of Crew Avenue. Police took information for a report and advised the victim to call the authorities if any further issues occur.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported in the 900 block of Edwards Street. Individual told officers that unknown subjects stole four heads off of their Harley-Davidson motorcycle over the past two weeks. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a case of alleged assault that was reported at Galion High School. School officials said the incident occurred during the lunch period. According to the police report, one student involved in the incident was suspended. School officials notified the parents of both parties involved. Officers took information for a report.

Police issued a warning for a generator violation to a resident in the 700 block of Clay Street.

Police investigated a case of alleged theft that was reported in the 400 block of Grand Street. Individual told officers that an unknown subject took their keys out of a lock box. Police took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the 800 block of Harding Way West. The initial incident was not reported to police and the parties involved did not exchange information. One of the drivers involved reported the crash later in the day. Officers took information for a report.

Police investigated a report of unruly juveniles in Heise Park. Caller told dispatchers that a male juvenile was harassing a female juvenile who appeared to be upset. Caller said the juveniles were walking toward the skating rink on Portland Way North. Officers were unable to locate the group of juveniles when they arrived on the scene.

Police arrested a male subject on felony warrant for possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Street.

Sept. 18

Police arrested a female subject on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence following a traffic stop in the vicinity of South Market and Atwood streets. Caller observed the female subject allegedly driving while intoxicated in that area. Police also issued a citation to the female subject for driving while under suspension.

Police investigated a report of juveniles allegedly blocking Orange Street with cones. Officers removed the cones from the roadway, but were unable to locate the juveniles.

Police seized suspected drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash from a vehicle following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Harding Way West. The driver of the vehicle was issued a verbal warning. The passenger in the vehicle is facing pending charges. Officers took information for a report.

Police issued verbal warnings to two individuals riding bicycles at night without lights following a traffic stop in the vicinity of Harding Way West and Zimmerman Avenue. Officers responded to the area after receiving a report of a suspicious person.

Police issued a citation to a motorist for failure to observe assured clear distance after responding to a two-vehicle crash in the 200 block of Portland Way North. No injuries were reported. Police took information for a report.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for driving without endorsement and no tail lights following a traffic stop in the vicinity of South Pierce and Walnut streets.

Sept. 19

Police arrested a male subject on suspicion of domestic violence after responding to a report of a domestic dispute in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center.

Police issued a verbal warning for a stop sign violation to a motorist following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Charles Street.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for failure to stop at an intersection in the vicinity of Harding Way East and Pounder Avenue.

Police issued a verbal warning to a motorist for an improper turn and obstructing the view of the license tag following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Ohio 61.
