RPH to offer ‘last chance’ immunization

Richland Public Health is having a “last chance” walk-in flu clinic on Dec. 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“It’s not too late to get a flu shot,” says Amy Schmidt, Director of Nursing at Richland Public Health. “Flu season typically peaks in February so vaccinations given through the holiday season and beyond are well worth the effort.”

The clinic will be held in the Health Department’s Corley Room (lower level, back parking lot) at 555 Lexington Avenue in Mansfield.

Medicare/Medicaid, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medical Mutual and United Health Care are accepted. A parent/legal guardian must accompany children less than 18. Please bring your driver’s license to speed processing.

Flu shots will still be available by appointment throughout December by calling Public Health Nursing at the Health Department. Call 419-774-4540 to make an appointment.

“No one wants to be sick during the holidays,” Schmidt said. “Getting a flu shot for yourself and your children is a gift of good health you’ll appreciate. Catch the holiday spirit, not the flu.”
